The Role

We're looking for a Marketing Events Intern to support the planning and on-the-ground execution of Zymix's brand activations across the UK, including our flagship ZYMIX Spotlight student talent competition. This is a hands-on role as you'll be out at venues, on campuses, and at events, not just helping from behind a desk.

You'll work directly with the Event Marketing Manager and collaborate across our social, PR, content & KOL, and agency partners. If you're someone who gets excited about the operational craft of events and marketing, this is for you.

What You'll Support

Talent Show & Student Outreach

  • Support the delivery of ZYMIX Spotlight, our nationwide student talent competition: from campus auditions through to flagship live events at the Roundhouse (London) and New Century Hall (Manchester).
  • Help coordinate student talent sourcing and applications, liaising with university societies and student unions.
  • Support the Student Brand Ambassador programme: assisting with onboarding, briefing, and day-to-day coordination of ambassadors on campus.
  • Help track KPIs for the talent show and ambassador programme, including sign-ups, engagement, and campus reach.
  • Assist with logistics for talent show heats and finals, including artist/performer liaison, run sheets, and on-site support.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Event & Activation Delivery

  • Assist with end-to-end event delivery: venue setup, supplier coordination, logistics, on-site support, and post-event wrap-up.
  • Help deliver city activations in London, Manchester, and other UK cities. Pop-ups, launch events, brand experiences etc.
  • Get on the ground at UK universities for campus activations, freshers' week events, and student society partnerships. Expect to be on campus, not just behind a laptop.
  • Support supplier and venue coordination: building contact lists, chasing quotes, and tracking deliverables.
  • Help uphold Zymix's brand standards at every event: visuals, tone, attendee experience.
  • Assist with performance tracking: attendance, content capture, social reach — and contribute to post-event reports.

What You'll Bring

Must-haves

  • Currently studying or recently graduated in marketing, events, communications or a related field.
  • Genuine interest in brand activations, live events and consumer marketing.
  • Some hands-on experience with events: through university societies, volunteering, part-time work or personal projects.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset: you don't wait to be told what to do.
  • Comfortable being on your feet all day. Event days are long and fast-paced.
  • Based in or able to travel to London.

  • Small senior team, direct access to leadership, fast decision-making.
