Job Title

Are you an events operator who treats every event as a commercial decision and a talent magnet? Do you want to build Solve's events function from the ground up, with full automation into our GTM pipeline and a clear ROI number against every dollar spent? Hackathons that pull in the best AI engineers, a flagship annual event the IP industry will talk about for years, and the gatherings that define our brand to customers and candidates alike.

About the Role

We are looking for a Founding Events Lead to build and run the channel that drives most of our pipeline, and the events that build our employer brand in AI engineering and IP.

You'll be joining the most lean, talent-dense, and fast-moving go-to-market team in London, working closely with Partnerships and Talent.

You'll Be Responsible For

  • Owning Solve's global events strategy end-to-end, across GTM, talent, and brand.
  • Owning ROI on every event investment.
  • Building and running Solve's flagship annual event from concept to delivery, including format, audience, partnerships, content, and on-the-day execution.
  • Leading our presence at the events that matter most in IP and AI (AIPLA, INTA, IPO, EPO, ICLR, NeurIPS, ICML) across the US, UK, and Europe.
  • Designing and running hackathons that bring the best AI engineers and researchers into Solve's orbit, in partnership with Talent.
  • Building Solve's employer brand presence at recruiting events, university partnerships, technical meetups, and AI community gatherings.
  • Designing and delivering curated gatherings such as founder dinners, customer roundtables, candidate dinners, and community meetups across London, New York, and Munich.
  • Working directly with Chris, Sanj, Partnerships, Marketing and Talent on event strategy, audience targeting, and execution.
  • Owning vendors, budgets, logistics, and run-of-show with the operational rigour the role demands.
  • Using AI to scale what was traditionally a high-touch function: automated event ops, attendee research, content repurposing, candidate sourcing from event participation, and follow-up sequences run end-to-end with AI in the loop.
  • Building the automation pipeline that connects every event to our GTM function: attendee data flows into HubSpot and Ashby automatically; lead scoring, follow-up sequences, and SDR handoff run without manual lift; candidate flow from technical events lands in Ashby with full attribution.

Iโ€™m in my final year doing Economics and I donโ€™t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer โ€” it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) donโ€™t need a masters. Letโ€™s look at the ones youโ€™d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet โ€” that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About You

As our Founding Events Lead, you have a track record of running and scaling events at a high-growth B2B or AI company. You bring the operational rigour to deliver flagship events at scale, the technical fluency to build the automation pipeline that connects events to revenue and hiring, and the commercial instinct to treat every event as both a pipeline lever and an employer brand asset.

Essential

  • Strong operational background in events at a high-growth tech or B2B SaaS company. You have run flagship events end-to-end and know what good looks like.
  • Demonstrated ROI accountability. You can show how events you have run contributed to pipeline, ARR, or qualified hires, with numbers.
  • Technical fluency with CRM and marketing automation tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, Marketo, or similar). You can build the workflows that connect event participation to GTM and talent pipelines, not just brief someone else to do it.
  • Comfortable partnering across functions. You are equally at ease working with the Talent team on recruiting events and the Partnerships team on commercial pipeline events.
  • High operational rigour. Vendors, budgets, logistics, run-of-show, and post-event attribution all handled without drop.
  • Comfortable in a founder-led, high-agency culture with a small team and a high bar.
  • Happy to travel internationally. This is a global remit.

Nice To Have

  • Experience integrating events into a wider GTM tech stack (HubSpot to Ashby, Zapier or n8n workflows, Salesforce campaigns, event platforms like Hopin, Bizzabo, or Goldcast).
  • Experience running hackathons, technical meetups, or developer-facing events at an AI or developer-tools company.
  • Familiarity with the IP, legal, or professional services market.
  • Experience designing and launching a flagship annual event from zero, including concept, audience, format, and brand.
  • Brand and creative sensibility. You can brief a designer and have a view on every touchpoint.
  • A network in technical, AI, or enterprise events circles.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Base Salary Depending On Experience.
  • Significant equity, and we want you to take ownership in Solve Intelligence and share in the success that lies ahead.
  • Full visa sponsorship for the UK.
  • Private medical insurance (Bupa).
  • 6% employer pension contribution.
  • Free daily meals via our meal benefit.
  • Opportunity to work with a super smart and ambitious group of people building something people want.
