The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Lecturer in Events Management to join our academic team. In this role, you will:
- Deliver high-quality, practice-based teaching that empowers students to acquire creative, technical, and professional event management skills.
- Contribute to a dynamic programme centred on live projects, creative problem-solving, and real-world professional practice.

Key Responsibilities
• Design and deliver lectures, seminars, and workshops across events management modules, including:
- Creative project management & live event delivery
- Experience design and audience engagement
- Event marketing, programming, and communications
- Financial, operational, and risk management
- Client, stakeholder, and supplier relationship management
- Entrepreneurship & creative business development
• Assess and mark coursework, adhering to academic and awarding body standards.
• Provide personal tutoring and mentorship to support student progression.
• Foster creativity, resilience, collaboration, and critical reflection within a learning environment.
• Integrate social impact, inclusivity, and ethical practice into teaching and assessment.
• Utilise digital tools, data-informed approaches, and emerging technologies (e.g., AI) to enhance teaching methodologies.
• Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance activities.
• Collaborate with industry partners and facilitate live briefs, festivals, and real-world projects.
About You
Essential
- Layered expertise in events management, festivals, creative industries, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated teaching or learner support experience in further/higher education.
- Ability to deliver engaging, experiential, and practice-based teaching.
- Strong communication, organisation, and presentation skills.
- Strong industry awareness and commitment to employability-focused education.
- Passion for creativity, collaboration, and real-world learning.

Desirable
- Teaching qualification (or willingness to pursue one).
- Industry experience or active research in events, festivals, or creative sectors.
- Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate or degree level.
- Familiarity with industry-aligned or professionally accredited programmes.
