The Role

As Events Manager, you will take ownership of our global events programme, ensuring every exhibition, sponsorship, and event delivers maximum impact while maintaining the highest standards of brand presentation.

This hands-on role blends strategic planning with practical execution and requires regular attendance at events—including international travel.


Key Responsibilities

Event Planning & Project Management

  • Develop and maintain a structured annual events calendar across all divisions.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to define event objectives and create detailed delivery plans.
  • Manage budgets to control costs and maximise value.
  • Coordinate accommodation, travel, and staffing for events.
  • Build and maintain relationships with event organisers and suppliers.
  • Ensure all events comply with company procedures and operational standards.

Exhibition & Stand Management

  • Work with the Head of Marketing to oversee stand design and branding.
  • Coordinate production and distribution of exhibition materials, promotional items, and product displays.
  • Source competitive quotes and manage supplier relationships.
  • Ensure event equipment is maintained, organised, and readily available.

Event Delivery

  • Take ownership of stand setup and breakdown.
  • Verify all materials and equipment are correctly installed on-site.
  • Oversee site security and protect company assets during events.
  • Act as a professional VetPlus representative at exhibitions and sponsorship events.

Reporting & Communication

  • Maintain and share an up-to-date events schedule with stakeholders.
  • Produce post-event reports with outcomes, feedback, and improvement recommendations.
  • Assess event performance against objectives and identify opportunities for enhancement.

About You

We’re seeking an experienced event professional who excels in fast-paced environments and manages multiple projects simultaneously.

You will have:

  • Previous experience in event planning or exhibition management.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in budget management and cost control.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office and strong IT skills.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Independence coupled with collaborative teamwork.
  • Willingness to travel internationally and work outside normal hours when required.
