About the role

EPI is one of the UK's leading education policy research organisations. Our impartial, data-led research reaches parliament, government, practitioners and the public - and shapes the policies that affect children and young people in England.

We're looking for an Events Manager to lead our convening programme bringing together decision makers, sector experts and parliamentarians to further policy debates and disseminate the work of EPI and our partners. You'll also oversee the policy papers produced alongside that programme, and help grow our portfolio of high-profile partners.

You'll report to the Associate Director for Partnerships and Events, and work closely with our CEO and research teams.

What you'll do

  • Lead delivery of our events programme, from our Annual Lecture to regular policy roundtables
  • Produce our programme across the party conferences, and help secure partners for it
  • Oversee our "policy innovation" strand - commissioning and shaping impactful papers on emerging education topics
  • Support the Associate Director in maintaining and growing EPI's partnerships, including stewardship of our Organisation Members
  • Represent EPI at external events, and keep a sharp read on how policy shifts are playing out across the sector
  • Look for ways to innovate in how we deliver events, and improve the processes behind them

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
