Events Manager

We are looking for an experienced Events Manager to join HSBC’s Ultra High Net Worth Marketing team to plan and deliver premium client events that strengthen relationships, showcase our expertise, and bring the Private Bank strategy to life. You’ll own end-to-end delivery for UHNW events and provide structured support on flagship experiences—balancing exceptional client experience with strong operational discipline, governance, and stakeholder management.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of UHNW events, from brief and planning through to on-the-day execution and post-event evaluation.
  • Support flagship UHNW events led by Senior Events Manager, owning agreed workstreams and delivering to timeline, quality, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Partner with Relationship Managers, product specialists, and marketing colleagues to define objectives, audience, messaging, success measures, and roles/responsibilities.
  • Source, brief, and manage venues, agencies, and suppliers to ensure service quality, value for money, and delivery to brief.
  • Manage event budgets, track spend, and maintain clear financial governance and reporting.
  • Ensure events are delivered in line with HSBC brand, risk, compliance, and control requirements with accurate documentation and timely escalation where needed.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
