Events & Marketing Manager (Flemingate Beverley)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage the Flemingate brand along with day-to-day marketing and communications across digital and physical channels
- Plan and deliver a full annual on-site events calendar, including large-scale seasonal events alongside reoccurring events
- Manage all event logistics including supplier booking, health and safety, producing event management plans such as risk assessments and method statements for each event, insurance and licensing requirements and liaising with East Riding of Yorkshire Council where public space or road use is involved
- Manage the practical running of events on the day, coordinating with centre management, security and cleaning teams to ensure smooth setup, operation and breakdown
- Drive footfall to the centre through promotional and community-led activity
- Design and produce a range of promotional materials, including social media graphics, posters and email banners to support the events calendar using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite to maintain a consistent visual identity
- Work alongside the Wykeland Head Office marketing team to support the production of marketing materials for new openings, centre improvements, and vacant unit marketing when required
- Plan and manage annual budgets and reporting on outcomes
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local community groups, media outlets, charities, and stakeholders
- Create and deliver the annual Flemingate marketing strategy
- Manage and produce day-to-day content for the centre's social channels, website and wider digital presence, balancing centre-wide messaging with individual tenant promotion
- Build relationships with tenants to promote store openings, new products or promotions
- Maintain awareness of activity at comparable centres and across Beverley town centre, using insights from the wider local market to help shape Flemingate’s campaigns and positioning
- Manage and update the Flemingate websites including occasional blog posts
- Produce a quarterly Flemingate email newsletter promoting upcoming events, tenant offers and site updates
- Attend relevant internal and external meetings, steering groups and tenant meetings

Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in an events or marketing related role and a relevant Events/Marketing related degree
- Shopping centre or retail/leisure experience is desirable
- Strong event delivery experience including planning, budget management and supplier coordination
- Ability to identify opportunities to increase dwell time and footfall to the centre and support tenants
- Experience producing health and safety documentation for events, including risk assessments and method statements as well as working knowledge of event licensing, insurance requirements and public liability considerations
- Knowledge of Martyn's Law and Terrorism Protection is desirable
- Calm under pressure, particularly when managing live events
- Experience and knowledge of Canva/Adobe Creative Cloud software (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) is desired or willingness to learn the various software
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events and campaigns simultaneously
- Professional and confident in stakeholder engagement with experience working with multiple stakeholders, including tenants, contractors and local authorities
- Creativity and innovation towards marketing strategies and event concepts
- Ability to innovate and think outside the box
- Be self-driven with an ability to manage your own workload
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while collaborating with a wider head office marketing team
- Strong IT skills, including MS Word, Outlook, Excel & PowerPoint
- Full UK Driving License with access to a car or reliable transportation

Employment Features & Benefits
- Salary from £42,000 - £46,000 (Depending on Experience)
- This is a full-time position of 38.5 hours per week with normal office hours of 8:45am to 5:15pm. The role calls for occasional evening and weekend event working, for which time off in lieu will be given
