Events Officer
Events Officer – 6-12 Months Temporary Role
Locations: Derby, Bristol, or London
About This Role
This is a fixed-term opportunity to cover a period of maternity leave within the Events team. An exciting chance to work in Rolls-Royce’s global events function, delivering high-impact corporate events with real influence from day one.
The Events Officer will play a central role in supporting the end-to-end execution of internal and external events, ensuring events align with Rolls-Royce’s corporate narrative while meeting timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Ideal for a detail-oriented, proactive professional with a passion for events delivery, leveraging opportunities to build stakeholder relationships, gain cross-divisional exposure, and develop strategic communications skills in a dynamic, global environment.
What You Will Provide
Event Planning & Delivery
- Offer hands-on support across logistics, vendor coordination, venue management, and on-site event execution
- Manage event budgets, including expenditure tracking and timely purchase order processing
- Maintain and update the global events calendar, ensuring cross-team alignment and effective prioritisation
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to meet requirements and deadlines
Stakeholder & Delegate Experience
- Serve as the key liaison for delegates and stakeholders, handling queries professionally and promptly
- Assist in pre-event messaging for leaders and speakers, collaborating with Communications Business Partners
- Champion Roll-Royce’s brand values through every delegate interaction (pre-, during, and post-event)

Content & Brand Alignment
- Ensure all event materials (signage, presentations, collateral) comply with Rolls-Royce’s visual identity guidelines
- Work with the Content & Channels team to amplify events through social media, internal channels, and media coverage
Evaluation & Improvement
- Track performance metrics (attendance, delegate feedback, post-event coverage)
- Compile evaluation reports and contribute insights to drive continuous improvement
- Support process refinement as the Events function grows
Who We Are Looking For
Essential Criteria
- 2+ years’ experience in events coordination, ideally within corporate or multi-location environments
- Strong organisational skills with information management and multi-tasking abilities
- Confident handling internal and external stakeholders, including senior leaders
- Proactive self-starter with swift adaptability in a fast-paced team
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Collaborative mindset with a positive “can-do” attitude
Desirable
- Passion for or prior exposure to engineering/aerospace/tech industries
- Familiarity with event management platforms (registration software, delegate portals)
- Experience managing cross-cultural or international events
- Working knowledge of budget tracking and financial administration
