Working arrangements: Hybrid working – 2 days a week in office

As our Events Producer you’ll shape events that connect customers with meaningful insight and support. This is a chance to deliver engaging face to face experiences that bring learning to life and create real impact for educators and learners.

You will plan and deliver a programme of events aligned to customer needs, products and wider AQA priorities. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure events are well organised, inclusive and focused on delivering value. Your work will support AQA’s mission to enable learners of all abilities to fulfil their potential by strengthening how we engage with customers.

In this role, you'll be responsible for:

  • Delivering a range of events across digital, hybrid and face to face formats, ensuring a smooth and engaging customer experience
  • Managing logistics, budgets and stakeholders to deliver events on time and aligned to agreed outcomes
  • Using feedback and performance measures to evaluate impact and improve future event delivery

Experience of planning and delivering events, including logistics and budget management
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work with a range of stakeholders and suppliers

Confidence using digital platforms and technology to support event delivery

Full Job Description Summary

Plan the programme of AQA events across multiple formats ie face to face, digital and hybrid aligned to customer needs, the product, service and customer objectives and wider AQA strategic objectives.

Support the Event Production Manager and Lead Event producer in large scale/complex events and managing end to end delivery of small-scale events

Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to produce industry leading events

Landscape

Reporting into the Event Production Manager, who in turn reports into Head of Customer Training and Events and working alongside the wider Customer Training and Events team, the Event Producer will be responsible for the operational planning and delivery of a range of events that sit outside the core Customer Training Programme. The role will have daily contact with a range of internal stakeholders across AQA including Curriculum, Sales and Account Management, Policy, External Affairs and Marketing teams. Externally the role will require management of a range of external stakeholders including venue sourcing, venue management, event organisers and event production suppliers with regards to AV and Logistics.

Activities

Deliver a high standard of customer experience at individual events with the development and delivery high quality and events programmes support the achievement of AQA strategic objectives

Apply detailed approach to development of workflows and processes that ensure a consistent best practice, professional standard of delivery

Seek out success measures and KPIs to events that measure reach, engagement and impact of the event programme and contribute positively to continuous improvement activities.

Research opportunities for AQA to take part in external events that are aligned to our strategic objectives, support the Marketing and Brand strategy and/or provide opportunities for thought leadership

Ensure AQA events are safe and legally compliant by applying AQA’s policies and other legislative requirements including but not limited to HSE, Equality, GDPR and ISMS

Create and manage event programme budgets including ensuring direct costs are recorded and controlled effectively

Manage internal & external Subject Matter Experts to create event content in line with event brief and objectives

Confidently engage with technology solutions that support the effective delivery of events and a seamless customer experience.

Create and execute events on digital platforms as well as provide f2f event provision to allow for wider engagement of events programme by customers

Need to Know (to be successful in this role, you will need to know):

Demonstrate detailed knowledge of event production and delivery with good project management skills including budget creation, logistics planning and management

Ability to work collaboratively to plan event programme content and use event marketing, editorial and copyright skills to ensure the content is fit for purpose and puts the customer needs front and centre

Confident communicator, has the ability to think creatively and translate generic event briefs to meet desired customer need and experience

Ability to established detailed costings at an event programme level to support programme budget creation
