Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced, highly organised, and results-driven Project Manager to support the delivery of our Public Events.
The Project Manager will streamline planning processes, embed best practice, and ensure delivery excellence across the full Public Events portfolio. This role is central to shaping future ways of working, supporting all stages of event planning, delivery, and post-event analysis. Working with all internal departments and external partners, the Project Manager will develop, execute, and refine event planning strategies that align with business goals, budgets, and timelines. The role also involves managing multiple stakeholders and leading the team in efficient ways of working, ensuring these approaches are embedded across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
Project Strategy & Planning
- Working closely with the BGP Programme Manager and Head of Public Events, ensuring that goals are being met in line with the overall strategy & timelines.
- Review and implement ways of working and continuous improvement so the team operates efficiently as our portfolio of events grows.
- Create and update detailed project plans, outlining timelines, resource allocation, risk assessments, budgets and milestones.
- Proactively monitor and manage actions to ensure that all critical milestones are being met on time and with the highest level of quality.
- Ensure documentation is created and kept up to date.
- Manage and optimise project budgets with a focus on delivering high-value solutions, ensuring cost control measures are in place while delivering a world-class event experience. Provide regular and transparent updates to stakeholders on budget status.
- Identify and evaluate potential risks to the project and advise on mitigation strategies. In conjunction with the appropriate stakeholders create and implement contingency plans for critical project scenarios to ensure smooth execution.
- Establish robust project governance and reporting ensuring transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate and lead the post-event analysis inclusive of evaluation, debrief with key stakeholders and recommendations for improvements by using data-driven insights. Following up then on making improvement/ bringing new initiatives to enhance how we work.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts, ensuring that lessons learned are integrated into wider projects to maintain the Silverstone standard.
Key Relationships
- Collaborate closely with key stakeholders to understand objectives and expectations that align with the brand and vision of Silverstone.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within the Public Events team and across Silverstone Circuits.
- Engage with and lead stakeholders on effective ways of working across all departments.
- Engage with teams of contractors and external agencies to ensure successful project execution where applicable.
- Engage and coordinate with wider internal teams across Silverstone to ensure all elements of the event are in sync. Plan strategically to avoid scheduling conflicts with other major events and activities taking place that could impact progress and milestones.
- Champion quality, inclusivity and collaboration while maintaining awareness of broader Silverstone activities.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Project Management, Business Management, Event Management, Sports Management, or a related field
- Demonstrable experience of project management, preferably in motorsport events or large-scale, high-profile events
- Demonstrable experience of success in strategic planning and leadership of multi-functional teams
- Significant technical understanding of project management frameworks and methodologies
- Any other relevant professional qualifications would be advantageous

- Excellent project planning skills including strong organisational and time-management skills with an ability to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines

- Ability to think through the implications of event planning and delivery, especially as they relate to our customers, fans, team members, partners and other stakeholders
