Events Specialist
About the role: The Event Specialist provides crucial support to the UK Events Manager in all elements of event strategy, planning and deployment. Primarily the role will focus on both BYD and DENZA National and Press events and as such will be responsible for the successful delivery of a broad programme of events. Working Location: Uxbridge, London Tasks & Typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: Support the UK Events Manager in the delivery of national level brand events and product launches. Work closely with the UK Marketing/Events team to develop an annual events schedule identifying key events that BYD & DENZA should participate in to maximise brand exposure and deliver test drives and sales End-to-end planning through to delivery of specified event workstreams. Work with appointed events agencies to brief, design, plan and deliver Fleet events including stand design, cars, event materials, uniform and merchandise. Ensure all events are delivered to the highest possible quality and adhere to BYD & DENZA brand standards. Work with digital and content team to design and deliver a content plan aligned to the different audience types. Work with members of the marketing team to ensure that BYD & DENZA events are promoted and marketed to ensure maximum attendance and exposure. Manage Brand Ambassador training and performance at events. Ensure specific customer journey defined and implemented for each event. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field. Equivalent experience in the events or experiential marketing sector may substitute for formal education. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in event planning or experiential marketing; automotive industry experience preferred. Strong multitasking and project management capabilities. Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and vendor management skills. Proficiency with general software: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and general services. High willingness and ability to travel frequently.
