Job Description: Casual Invigilator

We are looking to expand our pool of casual Invigilators to work within our examinations office and join our friendly team in the running of all public and internal examinations at the schools throughout the academic year. The post would be ideally suited to applicants who are highly organised, vigilant and reliable, have excellent attention to detail and have the ability to remain calm under pressure and the flexibility to be called in at short notice.

Duties

  • Supervising pupils taking public and internal examinations
  • Supervising ‘scheduling clash candidates’ between exam sittings
  • Preparing exam rooms
  • Distributing and collecting exam papers in accordance with relevant regulations

Experience of exam invigilating is desirable, however full training will be provided.

Working Hours

This is a casual contact and working hours will be negotiated for each exam period. The main exam periods are during November and January - June, and the work will be either whole or part day sessions, some of which may start before 8.00am and end after 3.30 pm.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
