Role Summary

Academy: Outwood Academy Portland Start Date: September 2026 Salary: £28,598 to £29,540* Hours: 37 hours per week (Full Time, Whole Year)

An opportunity to join our dedicated team as an Exams and Assessment Officer ("the Palace"). This pivotal role ensures the smooth delivery of examinations, maintains robust assessment data, and contributes to school improvement—directly impacting student success.

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented, organised professional who understands the importance of exams administration, data accuracy, and compliance. You will:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all internal and external examinations, ensuring compliance with JCQ regulations and awarding body requirements.
  • Manage examination entries, timetables, invigilation, and results distribution—walking that tightrope between precision and deadlines.
  • Maintain, analyse, and report assessment data to support leaders and teachers in tracking student progress and identifying underachievement.
  • Use management information systems to produce accurate, actionable reports.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff, students, parents, and external agencies to support academic progress.
  • Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and data integrity.
