About The Role
The Exams Coordinator is a key member of the exams team and is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the campus and any community site provision exams programme.
The role involves liaising with different teams; such as IT, Estates and Curriculum to ensure the correct processes and procedures are followed so that the college meets JCQ and awarding body regulations and that students achieve their qualifications and the college maximises the funding received. The role is very fast paced and being able to think on your feet and learn new information quickly and accurately is really important.
What You Will Do
- Lead and manage the exams team to ensure all internal and external assessments are delivered efficiently, in full compliance with awarding body regulations and deadlines.
- Act as the main point of contact for all examination-related queries, complaints, and communications with awarding bodies, ensuring the timely and accurate release of results and certificates so that students can progress to further education or employment.
- Provide line management for Exams Administrators supporting their professional development and ensuring effective team performance.
- Oversee and coordinate examination processes across community sites, ensuring consistency and adherence to established procedures.
- Ensure compliance with JCQ regulations through regular audits and monitoring, addressing any areas of non-compliance proactively.
- Liaise with exam inspectors, responding promptly to their requirements and facilitating successful inspection outcomes.
About You
- Be confident working independently, with the ability to prioritise, delegate, and manage tasks effectively.
- Have a keen eye for detail to ensure procedures are followed and students are accurately registered for the correct exams and qualifications.
- Be able to work well under pressure, managing tight deadlines while motivating and supporting their team.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, taking ownership of issues and resolving problems effectively.
- Possess strong IT skills to complete tasks efficiently and use data to monitor and track exam processes.
