About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Exams Team Leader to join our MIS & Exams team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong understanding of examinations administration, JCQ regulations, and awarding body requirements to play a key role in the successful delivery of examinations across the College.
Reporting to the Examinations and Assessments Manager, you will support the effective and compliant operation of all examination activities, leading on Access Arrangements, supporting and directing the Exams team, and deputising for the Examinations Manager when required. You will work closely with curriculum areas, support services, awarding bodies, and students to ensure examinations are delivered efficiently, securely, and in accordance with all regulatory requirements.
This role would suit an experienced examinations professional looking to take the next step in their career or an existing team leader seeking a new challenge within a large and ambitious further education college.
Interested candidates are advised to apply early, as the vacancy will close once the right candidate is found.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
