Excel Specialist (Remote) – Contract Role
Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere) Job Type: Contract Payout: $40 – $55/hour
Role Overview
We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking an Excel Expert to work on a contract basis. The role involves:
- Creating and maintaining complex financial models
- Automating reporting processes
- Ensuring data accuracy across financial systems
- Supporting cross-functional teams by delivering high-quality spreadsheets and dashboards that drive business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain sophisticated Excel financial models, including:
- Forecasting
- Budgeting
- Scenario analysis
- Develop automated reporting solutions using:
- Excel VBA macros
- Power Query
- Validate and cleanse financial data to ensure integrity and consistency across datasets
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams to translate business requirements into functional spreadsheet solutions
- Document processes, formulas, and assumptions to ensure reproducibility and transparency

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including:
- Complex formulas
- Pivot tables
- Data validation
- Experience writing and debugging VBA macros to automate repetitive tasks
- Strong understanding of:
- Financial modeling principles
- Excel’s Power Query and Pivot tools
- Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into functional spreadsheet solutions
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial data and calculations
