Exclusive Opportunity - Small Elderly Residential Care Home Manager

Maidstone, Kent
Salary: Up to £48,000 per annum + Benefits

Are you an experienced Home Manager looking for the opportunity to make a genuine difference? Do you thrive in turnaround environments where your leadership can transform culture, quality, and compliance? Are you passionate about developing teams, improving standards, and delivering outstanding person-centred care? Then this could be the opportunity for you!

We are working with an established and growing elderly care provider seeking an experienced and values-led Home Manager to lead a small residential care home in Maidstone.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious leader who enjoys improving services, developing positive team cultures and leading a home back to compliance. Supported by an experienced senior management team, you will have the autonomy and backing required to make meaningful improvements while creating a warm, welcoming environment for residents, families and staff.

The home is currently on a turnaround journey following previous compliance challenges. Significant progress has already been made, with the provider investing considerable time and resource into strengthening governance, stabilising the staff team and creating a positive culture. They are now looking for the right Home Manager to lead the next stage of the home's improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of a small elderly residential care home.
  • Drive improvements across quality, governance and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and embed a positive, supportive culture for residents and staff.
  • Inspire, coach and develop the existing team whilst maintaining high staff engagement.
  • Build positive relationships with residents, relatives, healthcare professionals and local stakeholders.
  • Work alongside senior leadership to improve occupancy and rebuild the home's reputation within the local community.
  • Ensure person-centred care remains at the heart of every decision.
  • Maintain excellent standards across safeguarding, medication management, care planning and risk management.
  • Promote continuous improvement and prepare the service for future regulatory inspections.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
