Role: Executive Assistant
Location: Hybrid, based from one of our offices in Derby, Manchester or Warrington
Salary: £30,000.00 – £39,400.00 (subsequently adjusted to £30,000.00 – £39,375.00 for full reference)

Our mission is to deliver clean, affordable energy for all. Our Small Modular Reactor (SMR) programme offers a British solution to a global energy challenge, positioning us to become a world leader in innovative nuclear technology and a key UK export success.
In this context, we’re looking for an Executive Assistant to support our Programme Director and wider directorate. This is a highly visible role, working closely with senior stakeholders to ensure smooth day-to-day operations while enabling leaders to focus on strategic priorities and organisational impact.
Responsibilities
You’ll be responsible for:
- Coordinating complex diaries, meetings, and travel arrangements across multiple stakeholders
- Preparing high-quality documents, presentations, and correspondence to support senior leaders
- Managing expenses, purchase orders, and administrative processes efficiently and accurately
- Supporting events and collaborating with Executive Assistants across the organisation to ensure alignment
Requirements
This is a high-impact role where you’ll bring sound judgement, adaptability, and a collaborative approach, alongside the confidence to work closely with senior stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
We’re particularly interested in:
- A solid foundation in administration (e.g., GCSEs in English and Maths or equivalent), with relevant experience supporting senior leaders
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and changing demands effectively
- A high level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information
- Confidence using business systems and tools, and collaborating across teams to deliver outcomes

What’s in it for You?
We anticipate a salary of £30,000.00 – £39,400.00 (dependent on the skills, values, and knowledge you bring).
We also offer excellent benefits, including:
- Performance-related bonus of up to 7%
- Benefits allowance of £2,200, enabling you to create a bespoke package
- Pension contributions: 12% employer and 6% employee contributions
- 28 days holiday (+ public holidays), with the flexibility to buy or sell up to 4 additional days

- Obtaining Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance
- Satisfactory completion of a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
- Satisfactory completion of a basic financial probity check
