As an Executive Assistant, you are responsible for providing one to one support to your dedicated Leadership Team member. Your remit will cover a variety of tasks such as diary management, complex travel management, team management and support, event organisation and many other adhoc tasks.

You are an expert in c-level executive support and an example of professionalism to the highest degree. You have a thorough understanding of the GSMA vision and values as well as understanding the priorities for the industry.

About The Team

The Strategy Department is a newly established function within the organisation, offering an exciting opportunity to be part of its foundational journey. As a dedicated team supporting the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), you will play a key role in supporting the long-term vision and direction.

Our dynamic team environment allows you to work closely with a leadership team member who is actively crafting and developing their own function within the business. This collaborative atmosphere provides a unique chance for professional growth, contribution, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact as the Strategy function evolves.

About The Role

  • Management of the CSO’s diary including appointment scheduling and prioritisation, trip planning, meeting arrangements, under time pressure while maintaining appropriate flexibility
  • Maintaining an accurate and detailed calendar for the CSO, logging and assessing priority of incoming scheduling requests, re-scheduling meetings upon request, proactively communicating changes, and anticipating and responding to scheduling conflicts
  • Supporting with the logistics and arrangements for committee, board and other meetings with EA group
  • Making travel arrangements and creating detailed travel itineraries
  • Collaborating with other Executive Assistants and business support successfully to coordinate schedules across the Leadership Team (LT)
  • Liaising with other key departments within the company, such as People & Culture and Finance
  • Liaising with external stakeholders
  • Reviewing and completing expenses and reconciling these to budget
  • Drafting internal and external communications and correspondence on behalf of CSO
  • Compiling meeting briefs to ensure CSO has necessary background information for meetings including details on participants, the organisations and key issues to be discussed
  • Attending and travelling to global meetings, where you will support the activities of the CSO and the GSMA
  • Management of Strategy Group including the management of meetings, calls, contents, actions and logistics. Ensuring appropriate approvals of documentation that are received by the strategy group.

About You

  • Your professionalism and discretion will enable you to handle sensitive information and situations with absolute confidence, ensuring trust at every level of the organisation.
  • You will confidently navigate complex social and corporate environments, allowing you to foster positive relationships and represent the CSO and the GSMA effectively on a global stage.
  • Your exceptional written and verbal communication skills will empower you to craft compelling correspondence and deliver clear, impactful messages to internal and external stakeholders.
  • With your working knowledge of the full Microsoft suite, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel, you’ll efficiently prepare documents, presentations and reports that support strategic decision-making across the team.
  • Your keen eye for detail will ensure the accuracy and quality of all communications and documentation, contributing to the smooth running of our operations.
  • You’ll leverage your ability to persuade and motivate C-level stakeholders to drive consensus, secure approvals and move key initiatives forward.
  • Your proven record of positive engagement with senior management will see you effectively execute agreed actions, strengthening collaboration and delivering results that matter.
