Executive Assistant to Founder & CEO
Cambridge (Hybrid)
£40,000 base salary + up to £10,000 annual performance bonus (OTE £50,000)
Join the World's Leading Institute for Major Incident Management
MIM® is the world's leading institute for Major Incident Management.
Organisations in more than 98 countries use our internationally recognised frameworks, training and certifications to prepare for and respond to their most critical technology and business incidents. Our clients include many of the world's largest enterprise organisations across financial services, technology, healthcare, government and critical infrastructure—where every minute of downtime can cost hundreds of thousands, and sometimes millions, of pounds.
We help organisations build the leadership, capability and confidence to respond when failure is no longer an option.
As we enter one of the most exciting chapters in our company's ten-year history, we're looking for an exceptional Executive Assistant to become the trusted operating partner to our Founder & CEO.
This Isn't a Traditional Executive Assistant Role
You're not joining to simply manage a calendar.
You're joining to help a Founder build the next chapter of a global company. Imagine a Formula One team.
The driver isn't worrying about logistics, scheduling or whether the car is ready. The team removes every distraction so the driver can focus entirely on winning. That's this role.
Your job is to anticipate rather than react. To create clarity where others see complexity. To quietly solve problems before they become distractions. To become one of the Founder’s most trusted partners—professionally and personally—allowing him to focus on leading the company.
This is not a role with rigid boundaries.
It's a role built on trust, ownership and helping both the Founder and the company perform at their very best.
About the Founder
You'll work directly alongside Adam Norman, Founder & CEO of MIM®.
Adam is relentlessly curious, moves quickly and believes in building things to a world-class standard. His time is focused on enterprise clients, product development, international speaking, strategic partnerships and growing MIM® globally.
He values honesty, initiative, loyalty, exceptional judgement and people who naturally take ownership without waiting to be asked.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
