Main duties of the job

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to lead an established Executive PA team and to act as the Executive Assistant to the Trust's Chair and CEO. This is a key role in supporting the Trust's leadership team and Board of Directors.

You will provide high quality administrative support to the Chair and CEO, including diary management, email inbox monitoring, drafting of correspondence, and minute-taking. In addition, the you will act as team leader for the Executive PA team, which supports the Trust's Executive Directors and other senior leaders.

To be successful, you must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written), be organised and have a flexible approach to your work, along with the ability to work autonomously and under pressure in a changing environment. Experience working at executive/senior level in the NHS or public sector organisation will be advantageous.

You should possess excellent IT skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and more essentially Outlook, MS Word and Excel.

Qualifications, Knowledge And Experience

Essential criteria

Educated to degree level or able to demonstrate equivalent level of knowledge gained through relevant experience and continuous development. Significant experience of providing support to senior leaders/directors as an executive or personal assistant Experience of servicing senior meetings/committees, including preparing papers, coordinating agendas and producing accurate minutes and action logs to agreed standards and timescales Demonstrable experience of line management. Management/Leadership training Evidence of continuing professional or personal development. Experience of implementing and monitoring administrative procedures and policies to improve quality and efficiency. Experience of project/change implementation, management and monitoring ongoing projects.

Desirable criteria

Experience supporting Chair/CEO offices or working directly with Board members (Executive/NEDs). Experience of providing information in various formats Experience of leading or managing administrative/service improvement activity, implementing changes and monitoring delivery. Experience of managing financial processes within delegated authority (e.g., ordering, invoice approval, budget monitoring) and producing basic tracking/reporting information. Relevant leadership/management qualification (e.g., ILM Level 3/5 or equivalent). Able to facilitate and implement policy, guidelines and projects from initiation to completion
