Can you see yourself at the heart of one of the world's leading museum groups, supporting senior leaders and helping to deliver work that inspires millions of visitors every year?

About us

At the Science Museum Group (SMG), we inspire futures by encouraging people of all ages to explore and engage with science, technology, engineering and maths through our world-class collections, museums and award-winning exhibitions.

We are looking for a highly organised, proactive and detail-oriented Executive Assistant to provide exceptional support to our Director of Audiences and Chief People Officer.

This is a full-time role based at the Science Museum, working 35 hours per week with hybrid working available.

About the role

As Executive Assistant, you will provide efficient executive assistant level support to two Executive Directors (Director of Audiences and Chief People Officer) and the varied projects and teams they oversee.

Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you'll support internal engagement initiatives delivered by the Communications and People & Culture teams, help maintain effective administrative processes, and build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Throughout your work, you'll champion inclusive ways of working and contribute to a positive, collaborative culture.

This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with senior leaders in one of the world's most respected museum groups. You'll gain exposure to a broad range of projects and initiatives, contribute to work that inspires millions of visitors, and play an important role in supporting both our audiences and our people.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
