Salary: £55,227 per annum
Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday, 7:00-15:30 (Some Evenings during events)
Location: Standard Chartered Bank, London EC2V 5DD
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a high-performing brigade of 6 chefs and 3 kitchen porters across two floors, ensuring exceptional standards at all times.
- Oversee a fast-paced retail and hospitality operation, delivering over 350 retail covers daily alongside a busy programme of hospitality events and functions.
- Drive the delivery of restaurant-quality food, including premium hospitality, fine dining, chef-led gastro specials, buffets, canapés, and bespoke event catering.
- Maintain consistently high food quality, presentation, and service standards expected within a prestigious 5-star client environment.
- Plan, organise, and execute an extensive calendar of hospitality events, with 3–4 evening functions per week, ensuring flawless delivery.
- Lead, motivate, train, and develop the kitchen team, creating a culture of accountability, professionalism, and culinary excellence.
- Manage food cost, labour spend, stock control, and waste reduction while maintaining premium food standards.
- Work closely with senior stakeholders and front-of-house teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences across all service styles.
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, health & safety, due diligence, and company procedures.
- Develop innovative menus and seasonal offerings that enhance the retail proposition and hospitality experience.
- Maintain a strong presence in the kitchen, leading by example during high-volume service periods and complex events.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, team performance, and customer satisfaction.

Key Requirement
This role requires an Executive Chef with previous experience operating within a high-volume, premium hospitality environment, ideally gained from a Michelin-standard restaurant, leading luxury hospitality venue, or a large-scale B&I contract catering operation. The successful candidate must be comfortable managing multiple service streams simultaneously, thrive under pressure, and have a proven track record of leading teams in exceptionally busy, quality-driven kitchens.
