About The Role
We are seeking an Executive, Communications to join our Liverpool FC team on a fixed-term contract.
In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing the Club’s reputation within key markets. You will assist Communications Managers and the broader team by activating, evaluating, and monitoring creative and strategic communications plans, while demonstrating attention to detail and hands-on engagement.
Responsibilities

Implement and Support Communications Plans
- Responsible for assisting the execution of communications plans for commercial, operational, and club-wide projects.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to maximise each communications touchpoint, ensuring alignment with the club’s PR planner.

Campaign Evaluation & Monitoring
- Evaluate campaigns using industry-standard tools such as Meltwater to monitor and assess PR & Communications effectiveness.

Relationship Management & Networking
- Develop networking relationships with colleagues, partners, and media contacts.
- Engage with media outlets, including newspapers, broadcasts, newswires, and blogs, to identify opportunities for the club.

Content Creation & PR Support
- Craft engaging and accurate news stories for the media.
- Compose and distribute press releases requiring meticulous research and writing.
- Manage the end-to-end process for filming requests, including liaising with broadcasters, production companies, and internal stakeholders.

Event Coordination
- Organise player appearances, community events, and promotional photocalls. Manage these sessions in line with specified photography briefs.
- Attend and support press interviews with players/legends.

Reporting & Analytics
- Collate, analyse, and evaluate media coverage.
- Compile and deliver regular PR reports for internal stakeholders.
- Track awards nominations and craft communications for Wins.

Inclusivity & Inclusivity Initiatives
- Contribute to team creative sessions that inform the PR Strategy.

General Admin & Team Support
- Maintain the communications planner and report on team activities.
- Organise appearances and photography briefs.
- Attend weekly team meetings and assist with administrative tasks.
Requirements
- PR/Communications Experience
- Proven ability to support the execution of PR/communications campaigns across multiple domains.
- Demonstrated success in building relationships with media and stakeholders.
- Acumen in crafting engaging, accurate content for various audiences.
- Networking & Event Management Proficiency in fast-paced environments (e.g., sports media).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Tenure & Benefits
- A competitive salary, a contract for 12 months (35 hours/week), and a home base in Liverpool City Centre.
