Quantitative Analyst – Credit Trading Quant – Front Office Role

Job Summary

We are seeking a quantitative analyst to join our Credit Trading Quant team, where you’ll deliver technological solutions for Credit Trading into production. The team drives the analytics and e-trading roadmap, collaborating with desk heads to ensure prioritisation, delivery, and tangible business impact.

Our mandate includes:

  • Building the foundational platform and analytics enabling performant e-trading for credit flow.
  • Researching and deploying systematic trading ideas by applying scientific techniques (AI, machine learning, statistical analysis) to large, noisy, rapidly evolving datasets.
  • Developing and implementing tools, dashboards, and APIs that improve efficiency, revenue growth, and process robustness across Credit Trading.

The successful candidate will:

  • Design and develop e-Trading platform components (fair value engines, portfolio/risk management tools, client segmentation, RFQ responses).
  • Ensure each delivered component enhances Credit Flow performance across the board.
  • Deploy a variety of analytical techniques, from statistical analysis to cutting-edge machine learning.
  • Lead analytics and tooling development serving the entire Credit Trading division.
  • Own projects from conception to delivery, requiring cross-team collaboration (Trading, KDB, QA, DevOps, PSS, second-line risk).

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Innovation

  • Lead the improvement of credit flow trading metrics, including:
    • Response rates
    • Market share growth
    • Profitability (P&L)
    • Optimisation of return on risk-weighted assets (RoRWA)
  • Develop and deploy advanced analytics, dashboards, and applications to drive efficiency, revenue growth, and risk optimisation.
  • Expand the e-Trading platform’s capabilities to enhance trading performance.

Business Collaboration & Delivery

  • Work directly with front-office traders to:
    • Capture and translate detailed business requirements into production-ready analytical products.
    • Deliver rapid, flexible module developments to support evolving trading needs.
    • Make platform components accessible to line traders, fostering overarching Credit Flow improvements.
  • Enable real-time data access for traders to accelerate decision-making.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
