Executive Headteacher

A growing, close-knit group of specialist, independent schools are seeking two dynamic Executive Headteachers, each overseeing a portfolio of their SEMH provisions.

This is a rare opportunity to provide strategic oversight and operational support across the provisions. You will:

  • Develop and mentor senior leaders within individual sites
  • Ensure the group is closely aligned with the best interests of the students at heart

Person Specification

  • QTS/QTLS (or equivalent)
  • Significant, successful leadership experience as Headteacher, Exec/Regional/MAT-wide Leadership
  • Strong SEND/SEMH specialist education experience
  • Excellent knowledge of:
    • Safeguarding
    • Compliance
    • Quality assurance (QA)
    • School improvement
    • Inspection frameworks
  • Ability to work across multiple sites within Greater Manchester, based at Head Office

Job Specification

  • Executive Headteacher – full-time, permanent
  • Oversee a small group of close-knit, independent specialist provisions
  • Provide:
    • Strategic oversight
    • QA
    • Compliance
    • School improvement
    • Operational support
  • Mentor/develop single-site leaders and hold them accountable for key outcomes and standards
  • Ensure sites align cohesively to deliver excellent education for all students
  • Salary: £60-68k (not pro rata)
