Executive Housekeeping Manager – Manchester Deansgate Hotel (InterContinental)
At the heart of this iconic Manchester Deansgate Hotel—nestled in the Beetham Tower—we’re seeking a visionary Executive Housekeeping Manager to elevate standards, inspire excellence, and lead a team dedicated to immersive luxury. As part of the IHG Hotels & Resorts family, you’ll join a hotel redefining hospitality by blending modern sophistication with the vibrant spirit of Manchester.
Our hotel offers:
- 279 elegantly designed rooms with breathtaking skyline views
- Cloud 23 – a stunning sky bar perched 23 floors up
- 2 Rosette Podium Restaurant for refined dining experiences
- Indoor pool and fitness centre
- 14 meeting rooms and over 1,800 sq ft of event space
- A seamless blend of luxury, culture, and service—with a scheduled transition to InterContinental by 2027
About the Role
Join the foremost standards-driven Housekeeping Department, leading efforts to deliver impeccable guest experiences and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Your exceptional ability to juggle guest needs with seamless execution is at the core of this exciting role. As you take charge, expect to:
- Lead and mentor the Housekeeping Team, supported by the Director of Operations, to maintain impeccable standards
- Develop and optimise the housekeeping rota, balancing efficiency, staff satisfaction, and operational budget alignment
- Recruit, onboard, and retain talent, reducing turnover while continuously motivating your team
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging employees to share insights and ideas
- Collaborate seamlessly with other hotel departments, fostering a united front in pursuit of Hotel-wide goals

Essential Qualifications & Skills
- Proven senior Housekeeping management experience within hospitality, demonstrating exemplary leadership
- Exceptional attention to detail—ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and inventory compliance
- Superior organisational and time-management abilities to cope with high-pressure hospitality demands
- Compelling communication skills—ability to engage, train, and resolve issues efficiently with staff and cross-departmental teams
- Health, safety & budget acumen—proven track record in adhering to regulations while efficiently managing expenses
