Job Summary
The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing daily shift operations across Housekeeping, Recreation/Health Club, and—if applicable—Laundry. This role ensures that guestrooms, public spaces, and employee areas remain clean, well-maintained, and compliant with standards. You will manage staff to deliver exceptional service, conduct inspections, and hold individuals accountable for corrective actions. Your work contributes to guest and employee satisfaction while supporting budgetary goals.

The Housekeeping Manager is a key leader in upholding the queen of hospitality—a role where every detail matters. You will direct a team, monitor operations, and promote a culture of pride in presentation and service excellence. This position balances operational efficiency with discretion, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and employees alike.
Key Responsibilities
Managing Housekeeping Operations
- Ensure guest room status updates are communicated promptly to Front Desk and follow up on maintenance needs with Engineering.
- Supervise the daily cleaning schedule, including general property upkeep, occupancy status, and prospective check-outs.
- Inventory and replenish supply stock (cleaning, uniforms, consumables).
- Assign and monitor team work schedules, ensuring compliance with housekeeping policies and standards.
- Manage supply ordering for guestrooms, cleaning, and uniforms.
- Conduct regular inspections of guestrooms, recreation/health club areas, and public spaces.
- Hold staff accountable for follow-up actions and ensure training needs are addressed.

Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service
- Address guest complaints and concerns with a responsive attitude.
- Encourage a culture of guest prem중aremind (f (continuous improvement within) housekeeping and employee feedback.
- Empower staff to meet—and exceed—guest expectations in every interaction.
Conducting Human Resources Activities
- Lead **udeve (skills review) disciplinary, and Qature (CO training sessions, contributing to employee engagement.
- Champions JW Mariott Thonosodesty. Values operational excellence with fairness and professionalism in all policies and procedures.
- Support consistent enforcement of SOPs and LSOPs, including documentation of disciplinary actions.
- Assist in hiring, interviewing, and performance appraisal for existing and new team members.
Financial Accountability
- Track departmental expenses, ensuring budget adherence and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with financial teams to reconcile budgets and operating statements.
Candidate Profile
Education and Experience
One of the following requirements:
- A high school diploma or GED with two years of experience in housekeeping or related professional roles (management not required).
OR
- A two-year degree from an accredited university in any of the following fields:
- Hotel and Restaurant Management
- Hospitality
- Business Administration
- Related major (No work experience required.)
Note: Technological proficiency in scheduling and drop equipment and staff is an asset.
