Housekeeping & Laundry Operations Manager

Job Summary
This Housekeeping, Recreation/Health Club and Laury (if applicable) roles requires responsible management of daily operations to ensure that guestrooms, public spaces, and employee areas remain clean, well-maintained, and aligned with guest and employee satisfaction. The position involves **supervision, adherence to budgets, maintenance of high standards, and handling guest concerns.
Key Responsibilities
1. Managing Housekeeping Operations
- Ensure timely and efficient communication of guestroom status to the Front Desk.
- Collaborate with Engineering Department to address guestroom maintenance needs.
- Supervise daily cleaning schedules, room assignments, and inventory supplies.
- Train and delegate tasks to employees to meet cleaning standards.
- Conduct inspections and ensure corrective actions are completed.
- Assist in ordering supplies, uniforms, and cleaning products.

2. Managing Departmental Costs
- Lead the financial management of the housekeeping department.
- Analyze budgets, operating statements, and payroll reports to meet financial goals.
- Optimize operational efficiency to support overall property profitability.
3. Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service
- Address guest complaints and service challenges effectively.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement in service quality.
- Empower staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
4. Conducting Human Resources Activities
- Supervise staffing levels to balance guest satisfaction, operations, and budget constraints.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and progressive discipline procedures.
- Train and appraise staff performance, including new hires.
- Informally and formally develop employee skills through training programs.
- Support the interviewing, hiring, and orientation process.

Candidate Profile
Education & Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or GED + 2+ years of experience in housekeeping or related professional work OR
- 2-year accredited degree in:
- Hotel/Restaurant Management
- Hospitality
- Business Administration
- Related field (no prior experience required)
