Core Responsibilities
1. Managing Room Division Operations
- Ensure timely and accurate communication of room status to the front desk.
- Collaborate with the Engineering Department to meet maintenance needs.
- Oversee master cleaning schedules for the hotel.
- Compile lists of rooms awaiting cleaning and those ready for check-out.
- Reconcile inventory levels to ensure stock availability.
- Supervise daily room division operations while adhering to all departmental policies, standards, and procedures.
- Assist in ordering housekeeping supplies, cleaning materials, and uniforms.
- Support and oversee room and public area inspection plans.
- Communicate priorities to staff and ensure adherence.
- Guarantee all employees have proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms.

2. Cost Management for Department
- Participate in managing departmental controllable expenses to meet or exceed budget goals.
- Understand how departmental operations impact the hotel’s financial goals and objectives, helping achieve budget targets.
- Review budgets, expense reports, and payroll progress reports as needed to support departmental financial management.
3. Ensuring Outstanding Guest Service
- Address and resolve guest problems and complaints.
- Work to improve service performance.
- Empower staff to deliver excellence in guest service.
- During departmental meetings, emphasize guest satisfaction and focus on continuous improvement.
4. Occupational HR Activities
- Participate in employee accident investigations when necessary.
- Monitor employee holiday schedules to ensure coverage meets guest service, operational, and financial goals.
- Guarantee employees understand expectations and guidelines.
- Ensure fair enforcement of hotel policies, conduct disciplinary procedures and documentation according to SOP and LSOP, and support peer review processes.
- Observe employee service behavior and provide feedback to individuals or managers as needed.
- Utilize all in-house training tools to train new housekeepers and provide follow-up training if necessary.
- Participate in employee performance review processes and deliver guidance when needed.
- Assist in recruitment and hiring of qualified team members as required.
- Support departmental onboarding programs, ensuring proper training for new staff to meet job requirements.
- Engage in progressive disciplinary actions for inevitable performance concerns.
