Company Description
Cardew Group is an independent strategic communications agency, which offers a range of corporate, financial, public affairs, and digital services to its clients. These include FTSE businesses and prominent, growing businesses across a variety of sectors. Our services encompass day-to-day management of relations with the business and financial media and sell-side analysts, through to high profile and complex communications around transformational transactions such as IPOs and mergers. In all of these activities, and in everything we do, the management of our clients’ reputation is central to our work.
Role Description
The role will involve supporting the Cardew Group team in London, and will give executives exposure to how a strategic communications agency operates, and a grounding in the skills required of an executive, including:

- How to coordinate PR programmes to support clients’ business objectives
- Researching and analysing relevant media coverage and share price information for clients and relevant peers
- A working understanding of how press releases and stock exchange announcements are drafted
- Carrying out background research, stakeholder mapping, and preparing documents
- Monitoring media comment consistently and intelligently
- Preparing and organising stakeholder meetings and conference calls
- Helping to compile equity analyst feedback reports
Qualifications
- Interest in the media, business, and public affairs
- Social and online media knowledge
- Strong analytical and administrative capabilities
- Excellent presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Very high standards of organisation and attention to detail
- An instinctive awareness of when to refer to others, showing good judgement
- An enthusiastic and proactive disposition
- A desire to learn
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Eligibility to work in the UK at the point at which the role commences
- A 2:1 or higher in any discipline
