Join Our Client as an Executive Officer (Junior Office Manager) - Newcastle Upon Tyne
Are you organised, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting vital industry processes? Our client, a reputable organisation in Newcastle, is hiring an Executive Officer to play a key role in managing communications, data verification, and administrative tasks within the fisheries and trade sector. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to important work supporting UK industry and fisheries compliance.
What You'll Be Doing
- Maintaining logs of calls, emails, and correspondence from stakeholders, ensuring robust, auditable processes.
- Supporting UK industry in applying for IUU documents and verifying vessel landings.
- Building understanding of data sources related to fish imports, exports, and traceability.
- Processing inspection forms and escalating issues as needed.
- Completing IUU document checks for landings and validating export certificates.
- Monitoring and recording data for the GB fishery and import/export documentation.
- Providing a helpful call-back service to exporters requiring assistance.

What You'll Bring
- Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent IT skills, especially Word and Excel.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage workload effectively.
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Quick learner of new systems and data sources.
- Experience working in a team and supporting operational activities.
- GCSEs at grade C or above, including Maths.
