Join Our Client as an Executive Officer (Junior Office Manager) - Newcastle Upon Tyne

Are you organised, detail-oriented, and eager to support vital marine and environmental initiatives? Our client, a respected government body, is hiring an Executive Officer to join their team in Newcastle. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to sustainable marine management and regulatory transformation.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting regulatory projects by reviewing legislation and providing operational context
  • Developing guidance for internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Collating and analysing information on legislative changes and operational impacts
  • Assisting with project delivery and regulatory transformation initiatives
  • Managing administrative tasks, preparing correspondence, reports, and data verification
  • Liaising with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth communication

What You'll Bring

  • Ability to interpret and translate complex legislation clearly
  • Strong engagement and communication skills
  • Excellent written skills for creating guidance and reports
  • Experience in administrative support and managing workload efficiently
  • Knowledge of fisheries or marine environments (desirable)

Additional Details

  • Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne (hybrid working)
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Contract end date: 31 March 2027
  • Rate of pay: £15.58 per hour (weekly pay)
  • Shifts: General office hours

Ideal Candidates Will Have

  • Five GCSE passes (Grade C or above)
  • Two A levels (Grade E or above) or equivalent
  • NVQ Management Level 3 or 4, or junior management experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
