About The Role

This role sits within BT's Leadership, Talent & Culture team and is accountable for end-to-end executive search activity across BT Business, supporting critical leadership appointments and future succession needs.

Partnering closely with senior leaders, you'll use executive search expertise, market intelligence and talent insight to identify, attract and secure exceptional leadership talent. You'll work as a trusted advisor to the business, helping leaders understand the talent landscape, challenge assumptions and build diverse pipelines that support both current and future capability requirements.

This is a highly visible role, offering the opportunity to influence senior stakeholders, shape hiring strategy and support some of BT's most important leadership decisions.

Why this role is different

Unlike many executive search roles, you'll have the opportunity to become deeply embedded within a single business unit, developing a detailed understanding of its strategy, challenges and future leadership needs.

You'll build long-term relationships with senior stakeholders, influence succession discussions and play a key role in shaping the leadership capability needs for the future.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading executive search assignments from brief through to appointment.
  • Developing search strategies aligned to business priorities and future capability needs.
  • Building market maps, talent intelligence and diverse leadership pipelines.
  • Identifying, engaging and attracting passive executive talent.
  • Advising senior stakeholders on talent availability, market dynamics and hiring strategy.
  • Partnering with Talent, Executive Reward and HR colleagues to support succession planning and leadership capability discussions.
  • Delivering a seamless, high-touch experience for both candidates and hiring leaders.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships across external talent networks and executive search partners.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
