Executive Talent Acquisition Lead - Technology, COO & Services

Executive Talent Acquisition Lead


As part of the Executive Talent Acquisition team, you will be responsible for covering executive hires across Technology, COO & Operations & Services globally.

As an Executive Talent Acquisition Lead, you will support and partner with the business on executive hires at Managing Director level across areas such as:

  • Core and In-Business Operations
  • Digital & Data
  • CIO, CTO, AI, CISO
  • Business Architecture
  • COO
  • Enterprise Excellence
  • Investor & Issuer Services in the Services business

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment activity, including:

    • Stakeholder engagement
    • Research
    • Candidate identification, screening, and longlisting/shortlisting
    • Assessment and due diligence processes
    • Offer management and onboarding
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to deliver senior talent to the business.

  • Act as the primary point of contact between Talent Acquisition teams, HR partners, and Compensation teams for smooth onboarding.

  • Actively engage with global candidates, maintain awareness of industry trends, and track talent movements.

  • Use AI tools to enhance process efficiency and improve decision-making.

  • Collaborate with Talent Management on succession planning for critical executive roles.

  • Provide market and candidate intelligence that facilitates informed hiring decisions.

  • Build and maintain pools of qualified candidates through networking and database tools.

  • Conduct desktop research for competitor insight, including competitor talent mapping, salary benchmarking, and org structure analysis.

  • Maintain updated talent pipelines for various disciplines.

  • Assess business and reputational risks when decisions are made, ensuring compliance with:

    • Applicable laws and regulations
    • Citigroup’s Policy, internal guidelines
    • Ethical conducts and safeguarding measures
  • Escalate and report control issues with transparency when necessary.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in in-house executive talent acquisition or retained executive search.
  • Strong network and knowledge of senior executives in the financial services sector.
  • Expertise in engaging and presenting talent to senior stakeholders.
  • In-depth understanding of compensation structures and negotiating offers.
  • Exceptional ability to identify and attract passive candidates.
  • Demonstrates clear written and verbal communication, ensuring precision and impact.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent academic/industry experience.
