Expatriate Tax Manager (Global Mobility) – Confidential Professional Services Firm

Leeds | Full-time | £60,000 – £72,000

A leading national accountancy and advisory firm is looking to appoint an Expatriate Tax Manager to join its growing Global Mobility team in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of internationally mobile individuals and global employers, supporting complex cross-border tax matters.

The Role

As an Expatriate Tax Manager in Leeds, you will manage a portfolio of internationally mobile employees and their employers, ensuring compliance while delivering high-quality advisory support.

  • Managing a portfolio of expatriate and internationally mobile clients
  • Reviewing UK and overseas personal tax returns
  • Advising on residence, domicile, and cross-border tax issues
  • Supporting clients with double taxation relief and treaty applications
  • Advising employers on global mobility policies, including tax equalisation and assignment structures
  • Overseeing payroll obligations such as shadow payroll and reporting requirements
  • Acting as a key client contact and managing relationships
  • Leading and mentoring junior team members
  • Supporting business development and identifying new opportunities

About You

  • CTA / ATT / ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Strong experience in expatriate tax / global mobility within practice
  • Good understanding of UK personal tax and international tax principles
  • Experience managing client relationships and delivering advisory work
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly
  • Organised and able to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders
