Experienced Associate - Energy Advisory (London)

Energy Advisory Associate – London

Group Description

Our Energy Advisory practice operates across EMEA and the Americas as part of a fully integrated global franchise of more than 100 dedicated energy professionals—one of the largest and most active in investment banking. Over the past three years, the team has acted in a lead advisory role on more than two-thirds of the largest energy transactions globally, a track record that speaks to both the depth of our client relationships and the quality of our execution.

The practice covers the full spectrum of the energy economy—upstream, midstream, downstream, energy transition, green fuels, and energy services and technology—spanning the conventional and new energy value chain. Our client base includes some of the world’s largest integrated energy companies, national oil companies, sovereign governments, independent operators, and leading financial sponsors. We sit in the boardrooms of some of the largest companies in the world, advising on their most consequential strategic, capital allocation, and capital structure decisions—M&A, capital raising, strategic defence, shareholder advisory, debt and equity capital markets, and restructuring.

Position: Energy Advisory Associate (London)

Evercore seeks to hire an experienced Associate for its Energy Advisory team in London.

Primary Responsibilities

You will work on live mandates from day one, taking meaningful ownership of execution across a genuinely global deal flow, and working directly with senior bankers and clients. This is a lean team environment where Associates play a visible role in execution and client delivery, with daily exposure to senior deal leads and regular involvement in strategic discussions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
