West Monroe is seeking an Experienced Consultant with prior consulting or industry experience and a strong interest in technology Mergers & Acquisitions to join our London office and growing Mergers & Acquisitions practice.

As an Experienced Consultant, you will work with Private Equity and corporate clients throughout the transaction lifecycle—from platform acquisitions and mergers to integrations and carve-outs. You'll support engagements spanning technology due diligence, sell-side readiness, Day 1 planning, post-merger integration, separation planning, and broader technology value creation initiatives.

Experienced Consultant At West Monroe Have These Responsibilities

Client Delivery

  • Support technology due diligence engagements for Private Equity and corporate clients, helping evaluate technology platforms, IT operations, engineering organisations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and product capabilities.
  • Analyse technology environments to identify transaction risks, operational challenges, and opportunities to create value.
  • Contribute to post-close engagements including merger integration, carve-out planning, target operating model design, technology strategy, cloud migration, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Develop analyses, presentations, and client deliverables that communicate findings and recommendations clearly.
  • Work closely with client stakeholders across both business and technology functions while collaborating with multidisciplinary West Monroe teams.

Practice Development

  • Contribute to the development of methodologies, tools, and intellectual property that strengthen our technology M&A offerings.
  • Help enhance analytical frameworks and presentation materials used across due diligence and technology advisory engagements.
  • Participate in internal initiatives, knowledge sharing, recruiting activities, and team development.
  • Take an active role in your own professional development through coaching, feedback, and continuous learning.

Business Development

  • Support proposal development, market research, and business development activities alongside senior team members.
  • Assist with preparing client presentations and proposal materials.
  • Build your professional network through participation in industry events and market activities.
  • Stay informed on market trends across Private Equity, technology, and software.

Qualifications

  • Approximately 2–5 years' experience in management consulting, technology consulting, transaction advisory, or a technology-focused role within industry.
  • Experience supporting technology due diligence, M&A transactions, technology strategy, or large-scale technology transformation programmes is preferred.
  • Exposure to software, SaaS, technology-enabled businesses, or Private Equity environments is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to structure complex information into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing client-ready presentations and documentation.
  • Comfortable working in collaborative, fast-paced project teams and managing multiple priorities.
  • A degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Willingness to travel as required to support client engagements.
  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that values diverse perspectives and ways of thinking.
