Experienced Landscape Planner - Manchester & Leeds

Experienced Landscape Planner - Manchester and Leeds Area, UK - Permanent Full-time role with hybrid working.

As one of the UKs largest and longest established independent landscape practices we are our own master and able to shape the direction of our business flexibility to respond to the market and the passions of you and our team. We have an important opportunity for an experienced, inquisitive and ambitious Landscape Planner to help us drive further our expanding landscape planning sector. With excellent prospect for rapid career progression for the right candidate, you will be key part of a supportive studio who are active across UK and international projects. The successful candidate will help deliver projects covering all aspects of landscape planning, including landscape and townscape character assessment, landscape and visual impact assessment, landscape and visual sensitivity and capacity assessment studies and mitigation and enhancement proposals. Our current portfolio ranges from some of the largest energy and infrastructure projects in the UK down to small-scale housing projects and developments in protected rural landscapes.

Including for National Park authorities, we advise on all aspects of sustainable development and, as the UK strives to develop appropriately on this densely populated and protected island our expert skills have never been more necessary or in demand.

Therefore, we would like to hear from ambitious landscape planners with energy and enthusiasm, strong analytical and writing skills, and an ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. To repeat, this position offers excellent career prospects with great opportunities for significant advancement for the right candidate.

Requirements: Be a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute. At least 5, ideally 10+ years of professional experience in landscape planning. Demonstrable team management, mentoring and client facing skills A good understanding of the UK planning process. A comprehensive understanding of LVIA in accordance with best practice guidance, the planning process and EIA; Very strong analytical and written skills, with demonstrable technical report writing experience. Excellent organisation, presentation and communication skills; and A full valid driving licence.
