We are looking for an experienced lighting designer to join our team. This permanent role is office based in the Technical Department in Ware, Hertfordshire.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience in lighting design, preferably in a similar role. Any relevant portfolio material would be welcomed.
  • Proficiency in lighting design software, as listed below.
  • Possess an excellent appreciation of lighting technicalities, and other relevant metrics.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on industry trends.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilise lighting design software, such as Agi32/Lighting Reality/Relux/Dialux to create comprehensive lighting plans for projects. Training will be offered if necessary, on any of these programs.
  • Collaborate with contractors and clients to understand project requirements and objectives, ensuring optimal lighting solutions.
  • Review and improve existing lighting designs, looking for opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce the number of luminaires.
  • Interpret and apply relevant regulations related to the exterior lighting design task.
  • Work closely with the Sales team members to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring smooth coordination of operations.
  • Occasional site visits may be required anywhere in the UK, which may include working outside normal office hours.
  • Other duties as required.
