About Us
Master of Coin is a small, established and growing independent accountancy practice based in Leyland.
We work mainly with small owner-managed businesses, providing practical accountancy and tax support alongside clear, approachable advice. We are also developing a rapidly growing specialist division supporting franchise businesses across the UK.
We value good relationships, clear communication, personal responsibility, and finding practical solutions for our clients. As the practice continues to grow, we are now looking for an experienced practice accountant to join our close-knit team.
Role Description
This is a newly created senior role for an experienced accountant who is confident reviewing accounts and tax work, dealing directly with clients, and using their own judgement.
You will work closely with the practice owner and become a trusted senior member of the team. The role will involve reviewing work, helping clients understand their accounts and tax position, answering technical and practical queries, and supporting colleagues where guidance is needed.
You will also play an important part in supporting the continued growth and delivery of our expanding franchise division, working alongside the existing team to ensure clients receive a consistent and responsive service.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
