Experienced Recruitment Consultant

Senior Recruitment Consultant (and above) | Technology | Belfast

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced recruiter to take ownership of a high-performing Software Development recruitment desk within our established Technology business, covering permanent appointments across Northern Ireland.

With a proven track record, this desk generates consistent annual revenues, renewed job flow, strong market demand, and well-established client relationships—offering significant growth, new business opportunities, and an immediate commercial impact.

You’ll work alongside some of the industry’s most respected technology recruiters in a collaborative, high-performance culture that encourages knowledge sharing, career development, and success. Whether your goal is to grow your expertise, expand your desk, or progress to a leadership role, this position offers the platform and support to achieve it.

What You’ll Do Day to Day

As a Senior Recruitment Consultant, you’ll enjoy autonomy while collaborating with leadership and a supportive team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a full-service 360° recruitment desk, focusing on Software Development appointments across Northern Ireland
  • Building and nurturing relationships with software engineering professionals and senior technology leaders
  • Providing consultative recruitment solutions for clients and candidates
  • Developing and executing business development plans to grow existing and new accounts
  • Handling the full end-to-end recruitment process, from attraction to hire
  • Positioning yourself as a recognised specialist in software development, leveraging market intelligence
  • Specialising across key roles such as Backend, Frontend, Full Stack, DevOps, Cloud, and Engineering Leadership
  • Expanding existing client relationships while identifying new business opportunities
  • Re-engaging and developing key accounts within an established portfolio
  • Contributing to team initiatives and sharing best practices

Requirements for Success

To excel in this role, you’ll need:

  • A proven track record in agency recruitment
  • Experience recruiting within Technology, Software Development, Digital, or another professional services specialism
  • Strong business development and relationship-building capabilities
  • A consultative, advisory approach when engaging with clients and candidates
  • Commercial acumen, ambition, and a strong motivation to succeed
  • The credibility and confidence to engage with senior stakeholders and hiring managers
  • An understanding of the market’s nuances and the ability to thrive in a specialist, relationship-led environment
  • A collaborative mindset and a desire to build a long-term career
