What You’ll Do Here

As a Seasonal Experienced Tax Preparer, your responsibilities include:

  • Providing expert guidance, explaining, preparing, and accurately completing tax-related forms for clients (including multiyear, multistate, year-end returns)
  • Offering IRS audit support when needed
  • Completing e-filing of returns while providing printed copies for client review
  • Conducting face-to-face tax interviews with clients
  • Driving business growth and client retention by upselling other tax/financial products/services
  • Handling client calls through our national call routing system
  • Answering tax questions and providing timely future tax planning
  • Processing client payments and ensuring deposits are submitted punctually
  • Engaging in marketing and client acquisition efforts
  • Collaborating with colleagues to advance office priorities and mentor teammates
  • Demonstrating a working knowledge of sensitive, confidential data

Skills You’ll Bring For Success

  • 2+ seasons of previous tax experience
  • Hands-on experience in completing: individual, trust, &/or partnership tax returns
  • Ability to deliver outstanding customer service
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Successful completion of the Jackson Hewitt Tax Knowledge Assessment
  • Experience thriving in a fast-paced environment
  • Precision, accuracy, and detail-orientation are critical
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field preferred
  • An advantage may be gained from: a Field Instructor Certification, Remote Support experience, or prior Call Center experience
  • Experience with tax planning or audit support
  • Occupational certifications valued:
    • PTIN Certification (required)
    • CPA or Enrolled Agent license (strong bonus)
