Company Description

CW PIPEWISE LTD provides a comprehensive range of utilities and civil engineering services, from water pipe and leak repairs to improving water flow and pressure. The company’s capabilities include stop cock replacement, moling and excavating, cable moling, and both domestic and commercial groundworks. CW PIPEWISE LTD also delivers utility surveying and tracing, multi-utility installations, reinstatement, and a variety of civil projects. The team works across diverse environments, supporting reliable infrastructure and high-quality service for residential and commercial clients.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Surrey and surrounding areas for an Experienced Utilities Engineer (and mate). The role involves diagnosing and repairing water pipe issues, addressing leaks, and improving water flow and pressure for domestic and commercial customers.

  • Performing moling and excavating works
  • Supporting cable moling operations
  • Contributing to groundworks, reinstatement, and civil projects
  • Participating in utility surveying and tracing
  • Assisting with multi-utility installations
  • Ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with company and regulatory standards
  • Clear communication with colleagues, site managers, and clients
  • Accurate reporting and documentation of work completed

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in water utilities, including pipe repair, leak detection, and improving water flow and pressure
  • Hands-on skills in moling, excavating, cable moling, and related groundworks for domestic and commercial sites
  • Experience with utility surveying, tracing, and multi-utility installations, including understanding of underground services
  • Solid knowledge of health and safety practices, safe digging methods, and relevant industry regulations
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and utility maps
  • Competence in using relevant tools, machinery, and equipment associated with utilities and civil engineering work
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with site teams and clients
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage workload, and maintain high-quality standards under time constraints
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel between sites as required
  • Relevant vocational qualifications or certifications in utilities, civil engineering, or a closely related field are highly desirable
