Are you an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon looking for a practice where you'll be supported, encouraged to develop your interests, and genuinely enjoy coming to work each day?
Our growing practice in Banbury offers an exciting opportunity to join a friendly, collaborative team with a varied caseload, modern facilities, loyal clients, and excellent career progression—including the opportunity to step into a senior role or even become a practice owner through our Joint Venture Partnership model.
About The Practice
We've built a thriving first-opinion practice with a loyal client base and are equipped with everything you'd expect to deliver exceptional patient care. Our modern facilities include:
- Three spacious consulting rooms
- Fully equipped in-house laboratory for diagnostics and internal medicine
- Digital CR radiography
- State-of-the-art ultrasound
- Dedicated surgical theatre with diathermy, suction and multi-parameter monitoring
- Support from a visiting orthopaedic surgeon for specialist consultations and complex procedures
Located on the popular Banbury Cross Retail Park, our practice benefits from excellent transport links to Oxford, Birmingham, London and the beautiful Cotswolds, making it an ideal place to live and work.
The Team
You'll be joining an enthusiastic and supportive team where collaboration is at the heart of everything we do.
Our experienced nursing team runs a wide range of nurse-led clinics, including post-operative checks, weight management, behaviour consultations and preventative healthcare. Alongside our knowledgeable reception team, you'll also be supported by an experienced Practice Manager and two trained Mental Health First Aiders.

The Role
We're looking for a confident Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon with at least two years of UK small animal GP experience and a solid grounding in both medicine and surgery.
This role offers a varied caseload with the opportunity to work cases up to a high standard and develop lasting relationships with clients and patients.
You'll enjoy:
- 15-minute consultations as standard, with longer appointments where clinically appropriate
- A varied mix of consulting and surgery
- The opportunity to manage your own cases
- Regular clinical meetings to share ideas and continuously improve patient and client care
- Encouragement and support to pursue certificates and individual clinical interests
You'll be working alongside another permanent Veterinary Surgeon in a supportive environment, with only occasional sole charge responsibilities.
Working Pattern
- 30–40 hours per week
- 1 in 4 Saturdays
- No out-of-hours
- Flexible working considered
