Up to £70,000 DOE | Flexible Working | No OOH

Looking for a role where you can focus on high-quality clinical care, feel genuinely supported by your team, and still enjoy life outside of work?

We’ve got just the opportunity for you at Gillingham Vets for Pets.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly, forward-thinking practice where your clinical input is valued, and your development is actively supported.

You’ll enjoy a varied and engaging caseload, with the time and autonomy to work cases up properly, backed by a collaborative team that shares knowledge and always has your back.

In this role you will:

  • Deliver high-quality clinical care across consultations and surgery
  • Work closely within a supportive, experienced team
  • Contribute ideas to improve clinical standards and workflow
  • Build trusted, long-term relationships with clients and their pets
  • Develop your clinical interests with full encouragement and support

You’ll be confident with routine medical and surgical cases and comfortable with occasional sole charge, with support always available when needed.

The Role

  • Full-time: 40 hours per week
  • Typically, 4 x 10-hour days (9am–7pm)
  • 1 in 3 Saturdays (9am–6pm, with paid 1-hour lunch)
  • No out-of-hours

Flexible working patterns are available and open to discussion.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
