At Bracknell Vets4pets

We have aspirations to grow our practice further and are now looking for an ambitious Veterinary Surgeon to join us on this journey.

We’re ideally looking for an experienced vet to join our super friendly, close-knit team. Our Practice Owner, Kirsty, is 15 years qualified with a surgical certificate, hospital experience and has particular interests in regenerative medicine and chronic pain management. Alongside Kirsty, we have Georgina an amazing very experienced medic and Ana part time, a great all rounder.

“We love a bit of Disney, tea coffee cheese & cake. We are a super fun tight knit team and all love working together. We work hard to a good standard, but we have fun whilst doing it!”

Our surgery is purpose built to deliver the highest clinical standards and provides excellent facilities. We work on most cases in practice, including performing stem cell and PRP intra articular injections and we have a visiting Orthopaedic surgeon plus visiting ophthalmologist. We have a wide array of equipment including, but not limited to; syringe drivers, drip pumps, multi parameter, capnography, doppler, suction, diathermy, in house bloods, PRP machine, dental radiography. (Nomad), tonopen and a decent ultrasound machine.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Work/life balance is taken seriously as we think a happier team is a better performing team, our diary is managed to a level where our vets don’t feel overloaded, and we try to give a personal customer service lead care.

We already have a loyal client base with the potential for further growth, and cases can be worked up locally giving you the opportunity to develop any specific interests you have, with certification encouraged and fully funded. We’re also keen to learn new things from you, so if you have previously done CPD, we want to hear all about it! We’re always open to trialling new ideas and work closely together with the aim of providing the best care for our patients and a great client experience from phone call to case completion.

As well as a career path built for you and a salary up to £75,000, we offer numerous benefits (pension, healthcare, paid memberships etc.) plus a few more, such as development opportunities, death in service pay out, and exclusive lifestyle and shopping discounts (up to 30% off at Pets at Home).

This position can be fully flexible, full or part time. Saturdays are on a 1:3 fair rota basis shared with the rest of the team and there’s no Sundays or bank holidays.
