£80,000–£85,000 DOE + possible £5,000 signing bonus
Full Time | 40 hours + Saturday mornings

About Us
We are a standalone small animal clinic in Heanor, Derbyshire, with a newly rebranded and beautifully maintained practice that still feels brand new. Our caseload is steadily growing, and we’re focused on expanding both our client base and clinical offering, including developing more advanced surgical procedures in-house.
Our practice is fully equipped with:
Dedicated operating theatre Multiparameter monitoring Digital radiography Dental radiography Ultrasound In-house biochemistry and haematology laboratory Separate dog, cat and isolation wards

You’ll be joining a team that includes:
An experienced part-time Vet Practice Owner with interests in ECC, surgery, soft tissue surgery and avian medicine A passionate Lead Practice Owner Nurse with interests in behaviour, fear-free practice and Schedule 3 surgery An experienced ECC nurse A new graduate nurse with an interest in exotics joining soon An excellent front-of-house team with varied GP and ECC experience A new graduate vet requiring GDP support and mentorship
We are particularly keen to welcome a vet who enjoys coaching and mentoring others, helping to shape clinical standards and supporting the development of junior colleagues.
Professional Development & Culture
Our team actively invests in growth and wellbeing. Current and ongoing training includes:
Mental Health First Aid training Schedule 3 surgical qualifications Ultrasound training Behaviour and training certifications Exotic anaesthesia and surgical experience

The Role
This role would suit an experienced GP small animal vet looking to:
Take ownership and influence clinical direction Develop advanced surgical services Mentor graduates and support GDP development Help build a thriving, progressive practice culture Potentially step into Lead Vet or Clinical Director responsibilities over time
We’re looking for someone proactive, approachable and clinically confident, with strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
