Experienced Warehouse Assistant

Due to the continued growth of Andertons Music Co we are currently looking to recruit an Experienced Warehouse Assistant to join the team at our Guildford warehouse.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in warehouse operations, ideally within a fast-paced eCommerce environment, who is looking to take the next step in their logistics career.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process incoming deliveries, ensuring goods are checked, recorded, and stored correctly.
- Verify delivery documentation against purchase orders and report discrepancies promptly.
- Efficiently allocate and place stock in designated picking areas to support streamlined operations.
- Accurately pick, pack, and dispatch customer orders, ensuring high standards of quality and speed.
- Manage stock replenishment processes and coordinate timely deliveries to our retail store.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles with minimal supervision, ensuring safe handling of goods.
- Support inventory control and cycle counting procedures.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior or temporary warehouse staff.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse team.

Skills & Experience Required
- 3-5 years of hands-on warehouse experience, ideally in an eCommerce or high-volume retail setting.
- Strong understanding of warehouse workflows and inventory systems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
- Forklift licence and experience operating a Flexi forklift are highly desirable.
- Highly reliable, with a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to team success.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in order processing, stock handling, and documentation.
- A clean driver’s licence would be desirable.

Extra Information
- Contract Type: Full Time
- Working Hours: 7am-4pm or 9am - 6pm, Monday to Friday
- Salary: £27,263 YEAR
- Job Location: Andertons Warehouse, Guildford Unit 7 Cobbett Park, Guildford, Surrey, GU1 1RU
