Role Overview We’re looking for a freelance creative specialist to help shape and deliver immersive customer experiences across our portfolio of experiential retail projects.
Ideal for professionals with a background in: Theatre, themed entertainment, immersive experiences, live events, visitor attractions, or performance-based storytelling.
Your responsibilities will include collaborating closely with our team to develop: ✔ Creative concepts, customer journeys, and interaction frameworks ✔ Scripts, character interactions, and training programs Transforming retail environments into memorable, engaging experiences that combine emotional resonance with operational efficiency.
The successful candidate must expertly Fusion both creativity and practical execution, ensuring experiences remain engaging, scalable, and repeatable.
Key Responsibilities
Experience & Story Development
- Develop narratives, story worlds, customer journeys, and interaction models for our experiential retail activations.
- Write scripts—including scene structures, dialogue, performance cues, and interaction guidelines.
- Design engaging customer participation moments that drive discovery and emotional connection.
- Apply principles from theatre, immersive experiences, and themed entertainment to enhance retail spaces.

Performance Design
- Design human-centred performances that bring experiential concepts to life.
- Develop character concepts, behaviour frameworks, and performance techniques (where applicable).
- Guide pacing, audience flow, and experiential flow for optimal engagement.
- Collaborate with creative, brand, retail design, and production teams to align storytelling across the entire experience.
Training & Capability Building
- Create and deliver training programs for brand ambassadors, retail teams, hosts, and performers.
- Co-teach storytelling, guest interaction, improvisation, role-play, and performance skills.
- Develop playbooks, scripts, and training materials to ensure consistent performance.
Experience Delivery
- Support rehearsals, workshops, pilots, and live events as needed.
- Provide real-time creative guidance during activations.
- Refine experiences based on customer feedback, observation, and operational learnings while ensuring scalability.
Ideal Background
Experience in one or more of the following:
- Theatre, acting, directing, drama/playwriting, or performance coaching
- Immersive theatre, interactive storytelling
- Themed entertainment and attraction design
- Theme parks and location-based entertainment
- Museums, exhibitions, and visitor attractions
- Live events, festivals, and experiential marketing design
- Guest experience design and audience engagement

Essential Skills & Qualities
★ Exceptional storytelling and scriptwriting expertise able to translate ideas into engaging scripts. ★ Deep understanding of audience psychology and crafting engaging customer interactions. ★ Experience coaching performers, staff, or customer-facing teams in storytelling. ★ Creative yet practical mindset—able to balance vision with actionable execution. ★ Strong facilitation skills in fast-paced workshops and project environments. ★ Ability to align brand values with immersive, human-driven experiences. ★ Collaborative and comfortable working with creatives, designers, and operations teams.
